The Care Your Child Needs, Close to Home

Children have local access to dedicated Pediatric Inpatient Care through Maria Fareri Children’s Healthcare Services at MidHudson Regional Hospital. This service for our community allows children and their families to stay closer to home for the care they need.

Our dedicated Pediatric Inpatient Unit is staffed by Pediatric Hospitalists and Pediatrics-Trained Nurses with clinical experience received at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital

Our dedicated Pediatric Inpatient Unit includes:

  • Pediatric Suites including room-in accommodations for parents with a private bathroom and private shower.
  • Pediatric Activity Room
  • Music Therapy Room

In some instances, children needing specialized care and procedures may be cared for at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital's main campus in Valhalla where the most seriously ill or injured infants and children are brought for treatment that is not available anywhere else in the region.

Welcome to The Farming Neighborhood

A Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital tradition is that we call our pediatric units “neighborhoods,” and give each one its own unique name. The Farming Neighborhood, our pediatric inpatient unit at MidHudson Regional Hospital, offers a unique and beautiful view of the Hudson Valley. Our Nurse’s Station is centrally located so that our care team has easy access to each room to assist our patients and family members.

Additionally, child life and caregiver services are available to support our young patients, their parents, siblings and other family members during the patient’s emergency care or hospitalization.

Should a child need more specialized care, we can quickly connect them to Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Westchester via telehealth or a direct and seamless transfer.

In addition to inpatient care, MidHudson Regional Hospital offers emergency care for children up to 18 years of age through a new pediatric emergency room.
