2019 Roadside to Bedside - Trauma at MidHudson Regional

A free educational event for hospital emergency managers, physicians, nurses, hospital employees, EMS, other healthcare professionals and first responders.

Target Audience:

Nurses, Physicians, Paramedics and EMT’s interested in pre-hospital emergency care of patients with traumatic injuries and disorders.

Goals:

The goal is to present emergency care providers, physicians, nurses and first responders with the information necessary to improve outcomes in the care of Trauma patients and those with Traumatic Brain Injury.

Objectives:

  1. Identify the cause and classification of patients with TBI
  2. Discuss the following mechanisms of traumatic injuries that could result with TBI • FALLS • MVC
  3. Patient Care Acknowledgement
  4. Other areas of Trauma • Burns • Ortho • Pediatrics • RSI/Airway Management • SAFE – Traumatic Assaults
  5. Additional Education • Emergency Management • Virtual Autopsy
