Physical and Occupational Therapy: Movement & Everyday Function
Physical and occupational therapy is rooted in the art and science of human movement and its relation to everyday function. Therapy Connection staff are experts in dysfunctional movement patterns, their causes, and their correction. Their goal is to help you return to your favorite activity or sport, get back to work, holding your children, chasing your grandchildren, or even walking and sitting up.
Staff members at Therapy Connection may use a combination of methods that include hands-on techniques for soft tissues, joint mobilization, therapeutic exercise, lifestyle modification, activities of daily living, balance and gait training, instruction in the use of assistive devices in the course of your treatment. Fabrication of foot orthotics and upper extremity splints, and modalities such as heat, ice, electric stimulation, and ultrasound are also used.
Therapy Connection maintains a proud history of serving the health care needs of the community with over 100 years of combined experience among the staff. You will receive one-on-one treatment that is specifically designed for your individual needs. Our staff also includes certified hand therapists.
Diagnosis & Treatment
Therapy Connection is prepared to treat a whole spectrum of diagnosis, including: neck pain, back pain, knee pain, foot and ankle pain, hand and wrist pain, shoulder pain, pre-surgical and post-surgical therapy needs, auto accidents and sports injuries, fractures, dizziness/light-headedness, balance problems, weakness, cancer related problems and stroke.
Consultations & Referrals
Your Therapy Connection therapist may consult with various resources for establishing a preventative program for those with cumulative trauma disorders and other chronic conditions. Ergonomic changes at work stations and alternative work methods may be prescribed to help ensure healthy work styles for people of all occupations.
