The Turning Point Detoxification Unit is in an acute care hospital setting and provides a protected environment in which patients may safely withdraw from alcohol and other drugs, and begin to heal physically.
Medical staff are prepared to manage all medical complications as patient safety is our primary concern. We are skilled in the management of withdrawal from substances including alcohol, opiates and prescription pain medications, benzodiazepines and designer drugs.
The Turning Point Detoxification Unit utilizes a full range of pharmacologic agents to tailor treatment to the patient’s individual physiologic needs.
The counseling staff provides support, education and discharge planning for patients as they re-enter the community making appointments with and referrals to appropriate aftercare programs.
